FAQs

  • Ensure your remote remains in close proximity and pointing at the unit when setting the timer as they need to communicate, you will usually hear a beep when the unit receives a signal from the infra-red remote control.

  • Ensure you have the unit set to the correct mode when trying to heat or cool.

Check the controller to make sure that there is a heat label/sun symbol showing when trying to heat, or a cool label/snow flake symbol when trying to cool.

Remember, the temperature on the remote is a thermostat to determine when the system/room is ‘at temperature’ and can cycle off, rather than what temperature is coming out of the unit.

  • The first step is to ensure the filters have been cleaned recently. Blocked filters can prevent air from flowing through the unit and cause it to be very inefficient. For any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Another tip is that reducing the set temperature on the thermostat control by 1 degree can save up to 10% energy.

  • Many factors come into play when it comes to the lifespan of your system, such as location, usage and planned regular serving.

As a general guide, you should get about 15 years out of your system, although well-maintained ones can easily exceed 20 years!

  • As part of our free consolation and quote process, we will measure and calculate the correct KiloWatts of heating/cooling required for the space and take into account any special circumstances such as high ceilings, large glass areas, etc.

We will then look at unit locations and room usage/function and, in consultation with you, recommend the best solution.

  • When removing the old equipment, we must first ‘reclaim’ any refrigeration gas using specialised equipment for safe disposal at certified collection deposits.

Then we break the systems down and recycle as many units as possible before final disposal.
